Welcome to vida | photographer… my name is Vida.

So this is where I tell you my life story and all about my undying passion for photography, right? Well, I’ll keep it brief.

I was 12 years old when I first became interested in photography. My first camera was one on of those Instamatic 110 cameras. After shooting film for 14 years I switched over to digital in 2005 and never looked back.

No need to worry - I won’t be using my old Instamatic to shoot your wedding.

See? All done.

Whenever I look at a photograph of my parents it always amazes me how much character I see in their face.  The texture, wrinkles are like little maps that say so much about where they’ve been…

    i love pictures like these.. real hardcore shots of regular people that are in no way fake or made over to look like they have flawless skin and weigh 2 pounds.. the most beautiful people are the ones who dont hide who they really are.. and your parents fit everybit of that.. they are beautiful people with lots of love.. i can tell!!! you look so much like your mom!!

Jen and the Underwear Affair

There are some folks who cross through your life and just as quickly exit and there’s not much to be said about them.  Then there are others who over time start to become dear to you.

Such a friend (the latter of the two) recently wrote about her experience with what could have been (and may very well still be) a life altering experience.  You can read about it here.

One normally tends to focus on just the person who battling an illness (short or long term) but often forget that while it touches one body it also reaches their entire family and sometimes even their community.

Jen is brave for many reasons (and so is Steve and their family).  Why this post?  Rather then just sit back and feel sorry or even happy for herself for such a positive outcome they, Team Bebb, have decided to run to raise money for The Underwear Affair.  This is something we can all do to help.  Whether it is small or large, identified or anonymous - I ask that you give because every little bit helps.
